Methoria is a human rights charity registered in the UK (1188043). Currently it has two programmes: Last Rights and First Rights.
The Last Rights project is creating a new framework of respect for the right of missing and dead refugees and migrants and bereaved family members, to transform research and legal principles into deliverable, real benefits and respect for human rights. In May 2018 the Mytilini Declaration was signed on Lesbos setting out the obligations of states and the rights of the missing and of bereaved families.
Equal Justice for Migrant Children is a project of the First Rights Programme. This project is working to establish a pilot specialist court in the UK for unaccompanied and separated migrant children using a model that will be transferable so that it can be applied internationally. In the longer term we want to see a court not only for migrant children but for all children.
