Decree No. 10.622 of 9 February 2021: national policy for searching for missing persons and the national registry of missing persons

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, signed Decree No. 10.622 that defines the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety (MJSP) as responsible for the National Policy on Search for Missing Persons. The document, which also provides attributions to the Ministries of Women, Family and Human Rights, Health and Citizenship, regulates the actions between the agencies involved and reformulates the National Registry of Missing Persons, besides creating a committee to develop articulation and intelligence programs involving the theme.
