Behind the Scenes: New Technologies in the Search

Tens of thousands of people have been reported missing by their families in the context of the Russia – Ukraine armed conflict. Since March 2022, the ICRC established a separate Central Tracing Agency Bureau for the international armed conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine  dedicated specifically to the growing number of people separated and missing. Together with #RedCross & #RedCrescent National Societies, we have helped more than 8000 families receive information on the fate or whereabouts of their missing loved one. In this video we share a look behind the scenes at the new technologies used to search for the lost loved ones at our Central Tracing Agency.
