The Missing Persons Global Response website is a platform to facilitate knowledge exchange, learning, and cooperation amongst practitioners working on the issue of missing persons worldwide.

It brings together content and resources contributed by the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement, universities, research institutes, (i)NGOs, UN agencies, families associations, governments, donors, and other initiatives.

This website is an initiative of the Central Tracing Agency (CTA) of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It constitutes an online space for consolidating and organizing existing guidance, standards, research, contacts, learning opportunities and tools relating to the issue of family separation and people going missing in armed conflict and other situations of violence, disasters, migratory or other circumstances.

The content of this website is designed for the multidisciplinary community of practitioners active on this issue all over the world, comprising experts, organizations, states, academics and, of course, families of missing persons – whether representing various organizations or acting in their individual capacity. The website provides these various actors, stakeholders and interested organizations and individuals with knowledge, tools and resources to improve their capacity to prevent people from going missing, search for them when they do, and respond to and support those concerned and their families.

While the site is maintained by the CTA, it is brought to life by the contributions of the global community of practitioners, who are best placed to consolidate and share their own knowledge and experience to inform our collective efforts.
