This Law aims to protect the rights and interests of missing persons and their family members, in particular the right of family members to know about the fate of missing persons, who were reported missing during the period 1 January 1998 – 31 December 2000, as a consequence of the war in Kosovo during 1998-1999. This Law, also, establishes the powers and responsibilities of Governmental Commission on Missing Persons.
