For several years, the Swiss Red Cross Tracing Service has been trying to identify and open up possible ways for affected families to obtain their right to clarify the fate of their missing relatives who disappeared during their migration journey. The article highlights the insights gained with regard to the challenges met, the need of the cooperation with the authorities and the importance for training for the employees involved.
