Code of practice and performance standards for forensic pathology in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

The document is directed primarily to practitioners working within England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is hoped, however, that it will also be of value to pathologists who work outwith these borders even though they may operate in a different professional climate. The document is built upon the guidelines issued in 1996 by the Policy Advisory Board and incorporates performance standards for the profession drawn up in cooperation with the Professional Standards Unit of the College. The document is divided into sections, each dealing with a specific aspect of the activity of those undertaking forensic pathology.
