On Tuesday 17 May 2022 from 16:00 to 17:30 GVA time the ICRC Central Tracing Agency, we will be hosting a webinar on “Protecting and Caring for the Dead in situations of conflict”.
The webinar will focus on the importance of a dignified management of the dead in situations of conflict, including respect for their families, and complying with applicable national and international laws. Through bringing together a panel of experts from within and outside the ICRC as well as families of missing persons, this webinar seeks to raise awareness on the long-term risks and consequences when failing to implement established international standards, practices and legal rules on the treatment of human remains.
We encourage you to send your questions in advance at: missingpersonsproject@icrc.org giving us enough time to prepare, latest by Monday 16 May. You can also message us your questions during the webinar, but the questions sent in advance will be addressed with priority.
The webinar will take place on “Zoom”. To join the webinar, please make sure to register in advance HERE. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
