Fundar is a plural and independent civil society organization, based in Mexico, that is governed by the principles of horizontalidad (horizontal organization) and transparency.
Through its work, Fundar aims to advance towards substantive democracy and contribute to generating structural changes that positively transform the power relations between society and government. The society we envision is just and participatory, where the State fully upholds the human rights of individuals, communities, and peoples to create conditions for a dignified life and well-being for all.
Fundar is dedicated to influencing public policies and institutions through the creation and dissemination of specialized knowledge, critical and constructive reflection, as well as experimentation and collaboration with civil, social, and governmental actors.
