The present report is submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 29/2, in which the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights was requested to submit to the Council before its thirty-first session a study on the situation of migrants in transit, including unaccompanied children and adolescents, as well as women and girls. The report seeks to analyse the human rights situation of migrants in transit, highlighting human rights concerns as well as the relevant normative framework. It contains recommendations aimed at addressing critical protection gaps for migrants in transit.
