The CMP Anthropological Laboratory (CAL) was founded in 2006 under the auspices of the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP). CAL’s mandate is to abide by CMP’s Terms of Reference with regard to the identification of persons reported missing in the intercommunal fightings as well as in the events of July 1974 and afterwards. The CAL Laboratory Manual (or Lab Manual) serves as a guide to standardized policies, operating and methodological procedures in order to ensure consistency and professionalism in all operations carried out by the CAL. All CAL’s personnel are required to read and conform to the Lab Manual.
