The study focuses on systematizing the content and identifying gaps in the reports and decisions of the three specialized bodies having developed an important body of principles and specific obligations on the search for the disappeared: the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances, the Inter-American Cuort of Human Rights, and the UN Working Group on Enforced or INvoluntary Disappearances. The study also follows up with recommendations on the investigation of enforced disappearances.
