The Mexican Institute of Human Rights and Democracy, A.C. (IMDHD) is a civil organization that fosters connections and engagements with various social, political, academic, and civilian actors to generate proposals and initiatives aimed at achieving respect for and the strengthening of human rights from a comprehensive perspective, as well as promoting the principles of substantive democracy.

MISSION

To influence public policies related to access to justice, security, and equality through litigation, analysis, and proposal development, using a human rights approach, gender perspective, and intersectionality, in order to contribute to the transformation of public institutions and society.

VISION

To be considered a professional reference and partner by authorities and a reliable ally for individuals, groups, and organizations working for the full validity of human rights.

VALUE PROPOSITION

To contribute to the comprehensive social understanding and transformation of enforced disappearances and violence against women - through context analysis exercises, recovery of victim memories, and linking the disappearance of women to other crimes - prioritizing the formulation of specific public policies and empowering victims.
